Registering for Uber
Next section describes the process through which an individual can register for Uber. Before delving into the details of the registration process, it is worth noting the “must haves” and ways to join Uber before submitting the required paperwork.
- A car, either owned or provided by a supplier.
- Either drive it yourself or hire a driver.
Three Ways to Join Uber
- If you don’t have a car, you can still drive an Uber provided car.
- If you have a car and time to drive, you can drive your own car!
- If you own a car but don’t have enough time, you can still join Uber as you will provided with a driver.
Submit the required documents
The registration process at Uber begins from the submission of the required documents. A copy of the original national identification of the vendor and the driver, vehicle registration paperwork and driver’s license should be submitted at the nearest Uber outlet.
Similar to Careem, Uber requires certain specifications of a particular car, depending on the service the investor opts for.
Registering for the Uber
Once you have submitted the required documents, Uber offers a mandatory training session that lasts for approximately an hour. Training offers a way for drivers to understand & follow certain rules and regulations before they start picking up customers.
The training session covers technical information including but not limited to using the app, following built in maps and locating the customer through the app. Sensitive issues such as dealing with customers professionally, sexual harassment, handling complaints among others are also discussed. Once, the driver attends the training session, he is good to go!
