Two British soldiers killed in Afghanistan

LONDON : Two British soldiers were shot and killed in southern Afghanistan on Wednesday, the Ministry of Defence announced, bringing the British death toll from military operations in the country to 354. A total of six British soldiers have died in Afghanistan this year.
Britain has about 9,500 troops in the country, making it the second-largest contributor after the United States to the Nato-led coalition. Based in central Helmand, British forces are battling Taliban insurgents and training local security forces.
