School, BHU blown up in Mohmand Agency

GHALLANAI: Militants blew up a government school and a Basic Health Unit (BHU) in the Chamarkand area of Safi Tehsil in Mohmand Agency early on Sunday, tribal sources said.
The sources said a group of militants entered the buildings of the BHU and the Government Middle School for Boys in Malik Bashir Killay in Chamarkand and planted explosive devices at separate points.
The militants exploded the bombs with remote-controlled devices, destroying both the structures completely. In another incident, the militants blew up the house of Dr Fazal Subhan Safi in the Gurbuz area. The house was completely destroyed in the explosion. Soon after the incident, security forces pounded suspected hideouts of the militants in various areas of the Safi subdivision.
