Another school blown up in Bajaur

KHAR: Militants attempted to destroy another school in Bajaur on Sunday. However, the building of the government-run school was partially damaged when an explosive device planted by the militants went off in Tangi area near here on Sunday, official sources said.
The sources said that the militants had panted the explosives device on the building of the Government High School, Tangi, and triggered the blast. The sources added that the explosion caused partial damage to the structure.
Soon after the incident, Political Tehsildar Adalat Khan, along with a large contingent of the Levies Force, launched a crackdown and arrested 19 suspected persons from the area. Our Bara correspondent adds: Nine suspected persons were arrested by security forces following an attack on the Frontier Corps (FC) personnel in Nala area of Bara Tehsil in Khyber Agency, official sources said on Sunday.
The FC personnel were patrolling in the Nala area when two roadside improvised explosive devises (IED) exploded close to them. However, the soldiers remained safe. Soon after the attack, security forces launched a search operation in the area and arrested nine persons, including two brothers, two nephews and two nieces of former agency councillor Suhbat Khan, an opponent of the banned Lashkar-e-Islam (LI), and four of his neighbours.
