Armed men kill three of a Jamrud family

LANDIKOTAL: Three persons of the same family were killed and two women sustained bullet injuries when armed men opened fire at the inmates after forcing their entry into a house in Shahkas area of Jamrud Tehsil in Khyber Agency late on Sunday, official sources said on Monday.
The sources said several armed men forced their entry into the house of Sahil Khan Afridi at 3:30am and opened indiscriminate fire, killing Sahil Khan Afridi, his 20-year-old son Aora Khan, and his eight-year-old grandson Adil Khan of Ibrahimkhel, Shahkas on the spot. The gunmen fled the scene. Two of the women at the home also sustained bullet injuries and were rushed to hospitals in Peshawar, the sources said.
Talking to The News, Jamrud Tehsildar Tariq Hussein said it was not clear as to who were behind the incident but he believed the attackers were robbers as they tried to loot money from the house.
