Army chief will complete his term minister

ISLAMABAD: Federal Minister Khurshid Shah says government doesn"t want confrontation with any institution, adding chiefs of army and ISI will complete their term.
His remarks are being viewed as damage control exercise by the government.
Speaking to newsmen in Islamabad, Shah said Chief of Army Staff General Ashfaq Parvez Kayani will complete his term.
PPP leader Raja Pervaiz Asharf blamed media for the tense situation, saying the defense secretary who had created misunderstanding among state institutions has been sacked.
He said situation will improve after the secretary"s sacking.
Another PPP leader Faisal Raza Abidi urged restraint and called for respect for civilian government, army and judiciary.
