Burney welcomes end to judges crisis

ISLAMABAD: The Chairman Ansar Burney Trust and former Federal Minister for Human Rights, Ansar Burney on Wednesday welcomed the end to controversy between government and judiciary about appointment of judges and other issues.
In a statement issued here, Ansar Burney said that the confrontation was not in the interest of country, freedom of juidiciary and justice. Therefore, all issues should be resolved through understanding as per law and constitution.
While appreciating the meeting between Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammed Chaudhry and Prime Minister Yusuf Reza Gilani, he said Gilani s announcement about appointment of judges was a positive development.
Ansar Burney also congratulated President Asif Ali Zardari, Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani and Chief Justice Iftikhar Muhammad Chaudhry for resolving the crisis that was earlier dangerous for country and nation.
