Gas pipeline blown up in Naseerabad

NASEERABAD: Unidentified miscreants blew up a gas pipeline in Jafferabad district of Baluchistan, suspending the gas supply to the houses and industries in interior Sindh, reports SAMAA on late Tuesday.

Police sources said the incident took place in Malagzar area of Jafferabad district where the suspected militants exploded a gas pipeline with explosives, causing the fierce fire eruption. The pipeline was  one of the main supply lines of Sui gas to many areas in interior Sindh.

Later, the firefighters arrived on the scene and put out blaze after a brief extinguishing effort.

 Meanwhile, the incident prompted the security forces to cordon off the area. Search operation in the areas abating to the blast site is underway, sources said.
