Minor dies in Mohmand shelling

GHALLANAI: A minor girl was killed and two other persons, including a soldier, sustained injuries in incidents of violence in Mohmand Agency, tribal sources said on Monday.
The sources said the daughter of Sabir Khan was killed when a shell fired from an unknown direction hit their house in Lakaro area in Safi subdivision. The house was also partially damaged in the incident.
The sources added that a soldier, whose name could not be ascertained, sustained serious injuries in a landmine blast in Shawa Farsh locality. A man whose identity could not be established was killed in a remote-controlled bomb blast in Manzari Cheena in Baizai area.
The sources added that two groups of militants separately attacked the checkposts of security forces in Lakaro area in Safi Tehsil and Ghanam Shah in Baizai subdivision with light and heavy weapons.
