PM not for army courts in Karachi

ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Syed Yusuf Raza Gilani, straightway rebuffing proposition of army courts in Karachi, has termed the demand a clear "denial of democracy", reports SAMAA on Tuesday.
The premier, talking to Senators here in the federal capital, rejected any kind of threat to democratic setup in Pakistan. "Democracy to stay long," PM observed, forecasting, that those who yearn to hamper the momentum of democracy would taste sheer disappointment.
Meanwhile, MQM"s Senator Haider Abbas Rizvi , on the occasion, said his party sees the statement of PML-N chief Mian Nawaz Sharif relating to establish army courts in Karachi as "irresponsible".
