Sherry urges bilateral ties with US

WASHINGTON: Pakistan"s newly designated ambassador to the United States, Ms. Sherry Rehman has said that ties with US should be bilateral instead of unilateral, adding that the latter must give Pakistan the value she deserves.
Holding a sitting with members of Pakistani community, Sherry said that the improved Pakistan-US relations is the only solution with which peace and stability in this war-torn region can be attained.
Pakistan has clarified to the US several times that the ties between two close allies on terror war should be based on mutual respect and equality, ambassador reminded.
She was of the view that Pakistan was undergoing an important transition phase on political front, claiming that the government was going to complete its term at all costs.
