KARACHI: City police claimed seizure of up to 50 mortar bombs and hundreds of bullet rounds from Pak Colony locality here in metropolis on Friday night, reports SAMAA.
According to details, Karachi police raided a playground located in Pak Colony locality on the tip-off obtained from arrested criminals during investigations, recovering heavy amount of ammunitions buried underground.
The ammunitions included 50 mortar bombs and rounds of hundreds of bullets. Subsequently, bomb disposal squad has been called in to defuse the bombs.
SSP Ijaz Sheikh told media the culprits who disclosed information about burial of ammunitions in a playground, belonged to a terrorist outfit.
