Speeding trailer kills two in Hyderabad

HYDERABAD: A speeding trailer crushed two motorbike riders to death in the limits of Bhittai Nagar police station late on Sunday night.
Two students Sohrab, 15, and Naeem were killed after a speeding trailer hit them while two persons on another bike -- Shoaib and Ishaq -- were injured and were rushed to the Liaquat University Hospital.
The residents of the area staged a protest over the incident. They also opened fire at the trailer and thrashed the driver and conductor, as they attempted to escape. Police arrived at the scene later.
They took the trailer, its and driver and conductor into custody and took them to the police station. Meanwhile, a girl child Lareeba, who was hit by a stray bullet, died of her injury at a hospital in Karachi. The police, in another incident, recovered the body of Asif Shah, resident of Gadi Khata, who was hit by a vehicle near the Qasimabad flyover.
